V letošním roce uplyne neuvěřitelných pětasedmdesát let od dirigentského debutu Lorina Maazela – fenomenálního dirigenta a houslisty, který se prezentuje také jako skladatel. Maestro Maazel stál již před téměř dvěma stovkami orchestrů v operních a koncertních představeních. Na svém kontě tak má více než pět tisíc vystoupení! Od letošní koncertní sezony se stal na tři roky hudebním ředitelem Mnichovských filharmoniků, kteří v roce 2013 oslaví 120 let své existence.

Lorin Maazel has been one of the world’s most respected conductors for over fifty years. He has left his indelible mark in some of the world’s leading music venues as both music director and artistic director, and he has also conducted an astonishing 5,000 concert and operatic performances. He has stood on the rostrum of more than 150 orchestras and has conducted more than 300 recordings. The superb violinist Janine Jansen is, at the age of thirty-five, at the very peak of her career. She appears with some of the world’s finest orchestras, and with equally distinguished conductors. On her exquisite “Barrere” instrument crafted by Antonio Stradivari in 1727, on extended loan from the Elise Mathilde Foundation, she demonstrates a flawless elegance in her performances of the major violin concertos, delighting audiences around the world.
